Submissions & Author Acquisition Policy
Nickel Silver Press is building a multi-generational catalog of historical fiction, non-fiction, and translated family memoirs. We are selectively acquiring new authors and imprints that share our commitment to rigorous research, authentic craft, and enduring storytelling.
1. Genre Fit
We acquire historical fiction, historical non-fiction, translated memoirs, and regional historiographies. Genre fit with our existing catalog is required.
2. Research Standard
Submissions must demonstrate rigorous historical research and factual grounding; we do not publish speculative history presented as fact.
3. Manuscript Requirements
Complete or substantially complete manuscripts preferred; query letter, synopsis, and sample chapters accepted for early review.
4. Review Timeline
Our editorial team reviews submissions on a rolling basis; expect an initial response within 8–12 weeks.
5. Rights & Terms
We discuss rights, advances, and royalty structure directly with shortlisted authors before any formal offer.
We are especially interested in authors and historical imprints who bring specialized real-world expertise, extensive archival or field research, and a multi-generational or ancestral storytelling lens to their work.
